I read all of the remarks about Dr. Leslie and agree with all of them.  However, I starting wearing a hearing aid in my late thirties due to a physiological problem and ten years ago switched from one in the ear aid to two over the ear aids, because of the degradation in my hearing.  (I’ve been around and purchased several different instruments as my hearing changed, ).  In forty years, I have seen five different audiologists most due to moving to different cities.  Except for two, they all provided adequate service, but Dr Leslie skills are superior. 

As a retired principal used to evaluation teachers, I would give her the highest possible rating in all areas:  knowledge, communication, skill with people and accessibility. 

I saw Dr. Newmeyer for hearing loss under a workers compensation case. She investigated, did the paperwork for my particular state (California), ensuring she could work through my worker's compensation system. My visit with Dr. Newmeyer was very pleasant. She has a small office and works with each patient individually. You do not feel like you are being processed through a mill. She was very professional, thorough and knowledgeable about all things hearing and hearing aids. She was very patient in her examination and in explaining her recommendations for my particular hearing loss with various options. Dr. Newmeyer tried to provide the best hearing aids based on my needs and my worker's compensation system. I was previously seen by Dr. John House at the House Ear Institute of Los Angeles, and while the care I received was good, I would take Dr. Newmeyer's care over that provided by the House Ear Institute. Thanks much Dr. Newmeyer for your flexibility in scheduling, care, and expertise.

I have had Oticon OPN 1 for four days and I love them! The sound is completely natural with know Stop Up feeling! Yesterday was at lunch with 3 guys, a waitress and a room full of people. Leslie is the best audiologist I have ever met. She refuses to give up until she gets your hearing perfect. She has the patience of Job and treats you like family. She will work with you on appointments, lets you take hearing aids on a test drive before buying, and patiently answers all questions. It doesn't get any better than Jax Audiology.

I've never known a more customer-focused doctor. Dr. Leslie asks questions and listens to the answers. Dr. Leslie reprogrammed my hearing aid for changes that had occurred over several years. She stays up-to-date on the latest in her industry. She is a professional always ready to help the hearing-impaired. Highly recommend to anyone with hearing issues.

My husband I and I traveled to JAX Audiology and had the pleasure of receiving the expertise of Dr. Leslie Newmeyer. She worked correcting the problems with my husbands hearing aides. Even though more work is needed, the improvement in his hearing is amazing. Dr. Newmeyer was professional, able to put my husband at ease and help him to explain the problems he was having. Best of all she is a registered provider through WA state L&I and as such we are able to get supplies, repairs and her assistance in processing all of this. In May 2016 I took my mother to Dr. Leslie Newmeyer as we'd seen symptoms of hearing loss for some time. Dr. Leslie was very thorough in her exam, ensuring that her elderly patient understood the testing process and what would be expected of her once fitted with hearing aids. Mom had significant nerve damage/hearing loss and was fitted with Phonak hearing aids. Being aware of what it means for the hearing impaired to begin hearing anew, Dr. Leslie anticipated Mom's needs and helped her make gradual adjustments with the hearing aids so that Mom didn't become discouraged with the learning curve. Dr. Leslie is a credit to her profession; she's compassionate and knowledgeable. It is rare today to find a doctor who will listen to you, and ask the right questions. Today, Mom is able to be engaged in family time and daily conversations that she had otherwise been missing from her life.

I meant to write this after my last visit. I was very impressed with Dr. Leslie's patience with me. The hearing aids look so delicate and I was quite nervous about them. I can't thank Dr. Leslie enough for everything she did for my father! She is extremely educated, caring, and respectful. She will treat your loved one exactly the way you want them to be treated! We had no clue what was going on with my dad, and Dr Leslie figured it out during our first appointment with her! My dad went in with nothing and left truly with a miracle. He could not stop smiling and laughing from ear to ear the second Dr. Leslie adjusted the hearing aid, the whole drive home back to Amelia Island, the whole night watching tv with the volume down, he just could not stop smiling, it's SO beautiful. Now he keeps telling us to all stop screaming at him lol, we are all so amazed! Yesterday was such a special day thanks to Dr. Leslie!
